Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and Patriarch Cyril of Moscow and all Russia arrived in Belgrade. The two Patriarchs Bartholomew and Cyril will attend the main ceremony marking the 1700th anniversary of the Edict of Milan, in Nis. They were welcomed at the Nikola Tesla Airport by the delegation including Serbian Patriarch Irinej and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivan Mrkic. The ceremony will be attended by seven Orthodox Primates including Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, Patriarch Theophilos of Jerusalem and Patriarch Cyril of Moscow and all Russia.

Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic, Prime Minister Ivic Dacic, Members of the Government, President of the Republic of Srpska Milorad Dodik and President of Montenegro Filip Vujanovic will also attend the ceremony, which will take place on Sunday, when the solemn liturgy will be held in front of the newly built Church of Emperor Constantine and Empress Jelena, in Nis. The Archbishops of Cyprus and Greece, Metropolitan of Warsaw, as well as delegations from Bulgaria and representatives from Alexandria will also attend. The Roman Catholic Church will be headed by Cardinal Joseph Tomko. Representatives of the Armenian Church will be present as well. In Nis, the believers will be able to bow to two relics that will be on displayed – the Holy Cross embracing a fragment of the Holy Cross on which Jesus was crucified, found by Empress Jelena in Jerusalem, and the hand of St. John the Baptist.
