Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivan Mrkic held today the first meeting with a group of ambassadors from Arab countries in Belgrade. Minister Mrkic briefed them on all key developments from the UN General Assembly session, the meetings that President Tomislav Nikolic had and many other activities of the Serbian delegation during its visit to New York.

Joint activities and opportunities for deepening economic cooperation were agreed during the meeting with ambassadors of Algeria, Iraq, Morocco, Tunisia, Lebanon, Egypt, Palestine and the chargés d'affaires of Libya, Syria and Kuwait. Special emphasis was placed on the involvement of prominent Serbian companies in major markets of the Arab world.
