Marking the 90th anniversary of the establishment and work of the Circle of Serbian Sisters in Herceg Novi

90-godina-KolaThe Circle of Serbian Sisters celebrated the 90th anniversary of its establishment and work with an official ceremony and presentation of awards to distinguished individuals and groups in Herceg Novi on Friday, 20 September. On the occasion of this jubilee, which is celebrated on the day of the Nativity of the Theotokos, patron saint of the Circle, a monograph on the Circle of Serbian Sisters in Herceg Novi by Nebojsa Rasa was presented. Its publication was supported by the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia. Parts of the monograph in the form of historical narrative about the establishment and work of the Circle of Serbian Sisters were presented at the ceremony, and the Circle's President Dragica Spajic pointed out that the people of Herceg Novi are selfless when it comes to humanitarian activities, in particular for the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija and expressed gratitude to all benefactors who support the work of the Circle.

Acknowledgement to the Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia in Herceg Novi was presented to the consul of the Republic of Serbia Vesna Lalic, for the assistance provided and support given to the activities of the Circle and the engagement in securing funds which made possible the publication of this monograph.
