The book entitled "Vrakes and Its Inhabitants" by the late Gligorije A.Matanović was presented on 31 August 2013 in the seat of the "Moraca-Rozafa" Association of the Serbian-Montenegrin minority in Shkoder, which organized the event within the Serbian Cultural Days.
The book was reviewed by S. Djuretic, advisor in the Office for Cooperation with the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region and by B. Pelevic, co-author and editor of the book, an MP in the Serbian Parliament, who provided each member of the public attending the presentation with a copy of the book. In their remarks, they highlighted in particular those parts of the book that spoke about the existence of the Serbian state and centuries- long life of Vrakes inhabitants in present-day northern Albania, their origin, customs, exodus, participation in wars as well as the current position of members of our minority in Shkoder and its environ. The event, which was also attended by our Ambassador, brought together some one hundred members of our minority and guests.
