The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia has initiated the procedure for recalling its Consul General in Chicago Desko Nikitovic, who was appointed back in 2003.

The MFA has set up a task force mandated to re-examine the operating costs of its diplomatic/consular missions in foreign countries in order to rationalize their work to the fullest possible extent. Any irregularities found in the operation of these missions will be severely punished in line with the relevant laws in force.
