The exhibition "Words are all I leave behind" was staged at the initiative of the National Library of Serbia on the occasion of marking 115 years of the birth and 20 years of the death of Desanka Maksimovic. The exhibition was held in the premises of the Central National Library of Montenegro "Djurdje Crnojevic" in Cetinje.
The exhibition was opened by the Director of the National Library of Montenegro Jelena Djurovic. Mirjana Stanisic addressed the audience on behalf of the National Library of Serbia.
The exhibition was made up of representative parts of the legacy of Desanka Maksimovic (documents and records of poems, personal documents, objects from the poetess's daily life) and, after Belgrade, Valjevo and Banja Luka, Cetinje is one of the few cities whose residents will have the opportunity to see the unique exhibits related to the life and work of the famous poet, which have been preserved by her descendants.
