A press conference was held at the Consulate General ahead of the upcoming International Folklore Festival "Vrsacki venac ", 15-20 July. The conference was attended by Timisoara media and representatives of the organizers of this sixteenth festival. The Director of the Festival Zoran Djekic, member of the Municipal Council of Vrsac Marija Kulic and Director of the Vrsac Tourist Organization Tanja Palkovac spoke before the audience. The speakers stressed that this international festival fostered and treasured that what is most valuable in the rich collection of folk dances and songs. The presentation also touched upon the programme and the content of the Festival, performances by numerous local and eight foreign ensembles, concerts, exhibition activities, ethnic festival and lectures.

In his welcome speech, Consul General Lazar Manojlovic said that the continuance of this traditional cultural and tourist event best strengthens the friendship and cultural ties with Romania, wherein the town of Vrsac plays a particularly important and very active role.
