Manastir GomirjeThe monastery’s patron saint Ivan Day was observed in Gomirje, on 7 July. It has been traditionally celebrated for more than three centuries since the monastery was founded. The liturgy was served by Bishop Gerasim of Gornji Karlovac with priests from Ogulin, Moravic, Kostajnica and deacons of the Bishopric. The service was attended by a large number of guests from Zagreb, Belgrade, Novo Mesto, the surrounding municipalities, the Mayor of Vrbovsko and representatives of the Serb community from Rijeka. Two children of the Ruthenian ethnic minority were baptized. After the service, the Prior of the Monastery discussed with the assembled clergy and representatives of local authorities, in the monastery courtyard, the possibility of obtaining funds to repair the church roof and part of the roof of the monastery's guest house.
