Exhibition "Centuries of Belgrade in Koper"

koperThe exhibition of the Historical Archive of Belgrade entitled "Centuries of Belgrade IX-XX" was opened in the premises of the Regional Museum in Koper on 26 June 2013. The exhibition consists of 46 panels arranged in 15 thematic units representing the history of Belgrade. A particular section of the exhibition "The Slovenes in Belgrade," presented on 15 panels, shows the historical ties between Slovenian and Serbian people, as well as architect Igor Blumenau's documents.

The exhibition was opened by Deputy Mayor of Koper Daniel Cep, Director of the Provincial Archive of Koper Nada Cibej gave the opening speech and Director of the Historical Archive of Belgrade Dragan Gacic spoke about the exhibition.

The opening of the exhibition was attended by Director of the Historical Archives of Slovenia Bojan Cvelfar, Koper-Slovenian Parish Priest Toma Cirkovic, President of the Academic Cultural Artistic Society "Kolo" from Koper Vesna Bajic Stoiljković, on behalf of the Serbian Embassy in Ljubljana, Second Secretary Katarina Tomic, as well as many other people from the cultural and public life. The entire event was complemented by the performance of the Academic Cultural Artistic Society "Kolo" from Koper.

The exhibition will be open to the public until 15 July at the Koper Regional Museum, followed by a guest exhibition in Maribor.
