mrkic-oebs1Swiss and Serbian Foreign Ministers Didier Burkhalter and Ivan Mrkic, whose countries will be chairing OSCE in 2014 and 2015 respectively, will present priorities of their workplan in Vienna, on 2 July.
The decision for Switzerland to be OSCE Chair-in-Office in 2014, and Serbia in 2015, was taken in February 2012 unanimously by all participating States of the Organization.
The two incoming consecutive Chairs-in-Office will make their speeches at the Hofburg Congress Centre at 11:00 a.m., which will also be attended by the media.
After the two Ministers have delivered their speeches, they will take some questions from the media. In addition, their speeches will be also available at the www.osce.org/live.
The Permanent Council is the main OSCE body comprising 57 countries. The Council meets every week in Vienna to consider the current developments in all areas and adopt relevant decisions, says the statement.
