Commemorating the victims of Jadovna camp

The memorial service and ceremony of remembrance of the victim of the Ustasha camp of Jadovno will be held on 29 June 2013, organized by the Serbian National Council, Association "Jadovno 1941" of Banja Luka, Alliance of Anti-Fascist Veterans and Anti-Fascists of Croatia, as well as the Coordination of Jewish Communities in Croatia.

This year again, the organizers have extended their invitations for attending the commemoration ceremony to the state leadership of the Republic of Croatia, Honorary President of the Alliance of Anti-Fascist Veterans and the representatives of the Jewish Communities of the Republic of Croatia.

According to the programme, the commemoration would begin with the memorial service by Bishop of the Upper-Karlovac Eparchy Rev. Gerasim, whereafter the gathering would be addressed by Mr. S. Mesic, Mr. D. Bastasic, President of Jadovno Association of Banja Luka, a representative of the Jewish Community, as well as President of the Serbian National Council M. Pupovac. An address by a representative of the Government of the Republic of Serbia has also been planned. After the laying of wreaths, the attendants would leave for the Island of Pag where tributes would also be paid to the victims.
