Upon invitation of the Azerbaijani film director V. Mustafayev, film director Jovan Markovic and actor Lazar Ristovski visited Baku and Shamaha, from 11-16 May 2013. 

Following the recent visit of V.Mustafayev to the Republic of Serbia, this visit served to hold specific negotiations on the participation of our film workers in Azerbaijani projects for which funds have been allocated and Serbian actor Lazar Ristovski cased in the lead role in V.Mustafayev 's latest movie.

As V. Mustafayev is also chief executive of the famous Azerbaijani TV station SPACE TV, it was agreed for the station to buy off rights and to broadcast a number of famous Serbian movies. Discussions were held on the filming of joint TV series and films and possible investments and use of resources and staff at Avala Film.

The delegation of our filmmakers, headed by our Ambassador, was received by the Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Azerbaijan A. Garayev. The Minister supported joint projects in the film industry, pointed out the importance of cultural cooperation and accepted the initiative to hold a week of Serbian film in Baku.
