Assistant Foreign Minister Ljubica Vasic: The new Government of Slovenia supports Serbia on its EU path

ljvDuring the bilateral consultations related to European integration, Lj. Vasic emphasized that Slovenia was a country friendly to Serbia, an EU member state that had undergone transition, and whose experience could serve Serbia as a kind of a roll model on its own path towards the EU. As regards the fulfillment of the obligations by States under the Agreement on the Succession of the former SFRY, Serbia's efforts are aimed at openly resolving all controversial issues. Ljubica Vasic pointed out that, in Serbia's alignment with the EU, significant progress has been noted in the area of judicial reform and the fight against organized crime and corruption. At the end of the meeting, she said that it was important for Serbia to carry out reforms on the national level and to resolve the issue of Kosovo and Metohija. In Slovenia, Assistant Foreign Minister Ljubica Vasic met with Director General of the European Policies Department Tadej Rupel and State Secretary of the MFA of the Republic of Slovenia Bozo Cerar.
