The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia deplores the reports of the tragic murder of opposition politician, Mr. Chokri Belaid. While strongly condemning this act, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses its belief that the democratic transition of Tunisia will not and cannot be at threat. At this hour, all citizens of Serbia resolutely stand in solidarity with the people of Tunisia, with which they are linked by traditionally friendly relations and understanding.
