Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivan Mrkic met today with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey Ahmet Davutoglu.

Minister Mrkic emphasized the significance of the all-round development of the relations between the two friendly countries. The two Ministers agreed that the forthcoming official visit by the President of the Republic of Serbia Tomislav Nikolic to the Republic of Turkey would be of great importance for further strengthening bilateral relations and for deepening their political dialogue, as well as for giving an additional impetus to intensify the economic cooperation between the two countries.

Minister Davutoglu pointed out that Serbia was a crucial and unavoidable factor of stability and strategic partner of Turkey in the region. He stressed the readiness of Turkey to significantly promote its economic cooperation with Serbia.
