Serbian MFA Mrkic Meets New Russian Ambassador Chepurin

Mrkic - ChepurinMinister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivan Mrkic received today the new Ambassador of the Russian Federation Alexander Vassilyevich Chepurin and wished him success in the discharge of his very important mission in Belgrade.

Minister Mrkic pointed out Serbia's commitment to the further promotion of bilateral relations between the two nations, especially bearing in mind their traditionally friendly relations and deep-rooted historical, cultural, linguistic and religious close ties existing between the two countries and peoples.

Ambassador Chepurin emphasized his desire and willingness to work to encourage and contribute, through fresh impulses, to the relations and strengthening of cooperation between Serbia and Russia. He mentioned that the next such opportunity would present itself at the session of the Serbia-Russia Intergovernmental Committee to be held in Moscow on 15-16 November 2012.
