On the last day of his visit to New York, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivan Mrkic met with former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger in the headquarters of Kissinger's consulting firm.
During the meeting, they exchanged thoughts on the current position of Serbia in Europe and its future. Henry Kissinger spoke inspiringly about Serbian history and the heroism of Serbs in the world wars, saying that the lack of understanding or knowledge has led to some bad decisions on the part of the international community, particularly with regard to Kosovo and Metohija. Henry Kissinger called for the strengthening of relations between the U.S. and Serbia and indicated his willingness to make a contribution to this end. |
