Australian MFA Julie Bishop visited R. Serbia on 13-14 July 2017 when she met with PM of R. Serbia Ana Brnabic, FDPM and MFA of RS I. Dacic, Minister of Mining and Energy of RS A. Antic as well as representatives of companies, non-governmental organizations and explorers involved in the archaeological project Glac.
Australian Minister for International Development and the Pacific, Senator the Hon Concetta Fierravanti-Wells, was on a visit to RS on 3 March 2017 when she met with FDPM and MFA I. Dacic.
Kevin Magee, Assistant Secretary at the Australian MFA, was on a visit to the RS in May 2016.
A delegation from Australia, headed by Ambassador P. Woolcott, responsible for the issues related to environmental protection, was on a visit to R. Serbia in May 2015 when they met with FDPM and MFA I. Dacic.
FDPM and MFA I. Dacic met with Australian MFA J. Bishop at the margins of the 72nd Session of the UNGA, on 21 September 2017.
FDPM and MFA I. Dacic also met with Australian MFA J. Bishop during the Global Conference on Cyberspace held in The Hague in April 2015.
Bilateral political consultations at the level of Assistant Foreign Ministers were held on 5 May 2017 in Canberra.
Assistant Minister of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs Z. Milosevic visited Australia in September 2015, on which occasion a Social Security Agreement was signed.
Economic relations:
Total trade in goods in 2017 amounted to EUR 16.2 million, of which Serbian exports amounted to EUR 10.3 million and imports from Australia to EUR 5.9 million. In 2016, the trade in goods amounted to EUR 15.6 million.
