U.S. commitment to the preservation of regional stability and progress of all countries from the region was emphasized in the meeting, as well as the readiness to intensify cooperation. "The aim of today's meeting was sending the message that the United States wanted regional stability and progress for all in the Western Balkan region. Everyone expressed their point of view in the meeting. I particularly underlined that there would be no stability in our region if the United States failed to find a common interest with Serbia and the Serbian nation – i.e. with the largest country and the most populous nation in the Balkans, and that it was necessary for us to seek the lowest common denominator as far as joint interests are concerned, in order to contribute to the stability of the entire region", Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic said after the meeting. |
