Foreign Minister Nikola Selaković visited today the Szentendre Cathedral, part of the Diocese of Budim of the Serbian Orthodox Church, and met with the Bishop Lukijan of Budim.

The collocutors discussed the status of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Hungary and Serbo-Hungarian Christian bonds.

The topic of conversation was also the functioning of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Hungary amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The Bishop of Budim expressed his gratitude to the state of Serbia for financing the restoration works within the Bishop's Palace, which is located in the immediate vicinity of the Cathedral.

The state of Serbia helped the restoration of the archives, depot and library comprising the winter chapel of Cyril and Methodius.
