State Secretary Stevanovic participated in the annual meeting of Foreign Ministers of the Central European Initiative

State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Nemanja Stevanovic participated in the Annual Meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Central European Initiative (CEI), held via video conference on 24 September 2020, in the framework of the Montenegrin Presidency of this organization.

Strengthening of regional cooperation and the role of partnership in the region were discussed at the plenary part of the meeting, with reference to the activities of the CEI-WHO Task Force which brings together medical experts from all CEI member states in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic seeking to alleviate its consequences. After the plenary, the following documents were adopted: Decision on the CEI 2021 Presidency and Decision on the CEI Co-operation Fund.

In the final part of the meeting, a Joint Statement was adopted reaffirming important role of the CEI as a testament to the collective commitment to strengthening the region through constructive political dialogue and the concrete results that this organization is achieving.
