The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia received a Verbal Note from the Embassy of the Democratic Republic of the Congo following the allegations made by Behgjet Pacolli, relayed by Kossev info portal on 2 May 2019, according to which DR Congo would soon recognize the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo.

"As per the diplomatic cable received today by the Embassy of DR Congo in Belgrade from the country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, "the Democratic Republic of the Congo does not recognize - de jure and de facto, the Kosovo entity".

The Embassy kindly asks the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia to take note of this clarification", reads the Verbal Note by the Embassy of the Democratic Republic of the Congo sent to the Ministry.
