On 5-6 July 2018, Dr. Aleksandar Gajic, MFA Chief Legal Adviser, and Ambassador Dr. Slavoljub Caric, Director of the MFA International Legal Affairs Department, participated at a conference held in Geneva at the UN Palace of Nations to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the United Nations International Law Commission (ILC) and its work.

At the conference which brought together MFA legal advisers, professors, current and former members of the Commission, judges of international courts, the UN Chief Legal Counsel and representatives of governmental and non-governmental international organizations, Dr. Gajic moderated with great success a panel discussion on the methodology used in the activity of the Commission.

The International Law Commission was established by the UN General Assembly in 1948 for the promotion of the progressive development of international law and its codification.
