altThe Serbian Embassy in Ottawa was visited by elementary school students learning Serbian as an elective subject within the Ontario Ministry of Education. On the occasion of St. Sava's Day, the Embassy hosted twenty-nine children and some twenty parents.

A multidisciplinary creative workshop was held for children to get them acquainted with the importance of the life and work of Saint Sava, Serbian history and culture. The workshop was held through art, music and speaking activities.

In welcoming children and parents, Serbian Ambassador Mihailo Papazoglu emphasized the importance of preserving the mother tongue abroad while mastering the language of the host country, and congratulated the school's Slava (celebration of the Patron Saint) and handed out gift packages.
