Bishop of Raska and Prizren, academics and students of religious studies in Prizren visit Russia

vladika-rasko-prizrenskiBishop of Raska and Prizren Teodosije is on a visit of several days to Russia with the academics and students of religious studies in Prizren. Their hosts are the monks of the Sretenje Monastery in Moscow who are very active in raising funds for the Serbs of Kosovo and Metohija. Accompanied by the priest Ignatiy Shestakov, the Bishop, academics and students tour the sights and holy places of Russia (Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, Pokrovsky Cathedral, Red Square, Tretyakov Gallery, Monastery of the Assumption of Our Lady, etc.). They visited the Serbian Embassy in Moscow and were met there by the Serbian Ambassador, who showed them the exhibition of photographs of the pogrom against Kosovo Serbs and the relics of the Serbian Orthodox Church of 17 March 2004 by the Albanian terrorists in Kosovo and Metohija. The Ambassador then showed them an exhibition devoted to the Russian architect Nikolai Petrovitch Krasnov, and played host to them at the Ambassador's residence in Moscow. In the coming days Bishop Teodosije and representatives of the Theological School of Prizren will visit Sergeiyev Posad and St. Petersburg, and their visit to Russia will end on 14 June 2013.
