Political relations:

• First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dačić paid a working visit to the Kingdom of Spain on 8 June 2017
• Former Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić met with Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Spain Mariano Rajoy on the margins of the International Forum "One Belt, One Road" in Beijing on 14 May 2017
• Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Maja Gojković met with President of the Congress of Deputies Ana Pastor on the sidelines of the Conference of Parliament Speakers of EU Member States in Bratislava on 24 April 2017
• First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dačić met Foreign Minister of Spain Alfonso Dastis on the margins of the OSCE Ministerial Council in Hamburg in December 2016
• Former Foreign Minister of Spain J. M. García-Margallo paid an official visit to Belgrade on 24 – 25 May 2016
• Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Maja Gojković paid a working visit to Madrid on 5 – 6 July 2015
• Former Minister of Defense Bratislav Gašić paid official visit to Spain in June 2015
• Minister of Youth and Sport Vanja Udovičić visited Spain in May 2015
• Former Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić visited Madrid on 22 October 2015 attending European People's Party (EPP) Summit.

Economic relations:

Spanish-Serbian Chamber of Commerce (Camara de Comercio Hispano-Serbia) was established in July 2017, based in Madrid. President of the Chamber of Commerce is Oscar de la Heras and Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the Kingdom of Spain Danko Prokić was appointed as Honorary President.

The value of trade from January to May 2017 amounted to EUR 185,5 million, out of which exports were EUR 66,6 million and imports EUR 118,9 million. The total value of trade between the Republic of Serbia and the Kingdom of Spain in 2016, amounted to EUR 280 million, out of which exports were EUR 88,3 million and imports EUR 191,7 million.
