Visits and meetings in 2017:
- Montenegrin Prime Minister Dusko Markovic was on an official visit to Serbia between 3 and 4 February 2017
- Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic and President of Montenegro Filip Vujanovic had a bilateral meeting at the International Economic Fair in Mostar, between 3 and 4 April 2017
Visits and meetings in 2016:
- President of Montenegro Filip Vujanovic met Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic in Belgrade, on 13 July 2016, when the two Presidents jointly inaugurated the "Montenegrin House"
Visit and meetings in 2015:
- In his capacity as the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic visited Montenegro on 18 February 2015;
- President of the Republic of Serbia Tomislav Nikolic made a working visit to Montenegro on 21 July 2015;
- President of Montenegro Filip Vujanovic made a working visit to Serbia between 2 and 3 June 2015; Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Montenegro Igor Luksic took part in the OSCE Ministerial Council, on 3-4 December 2015;
Economic relations:
Economic cooperation between the two countries has been very good; special importance is being attached to the development of economic relations with Montenegro. Serbia has a large surplus in its trade with Montenegro and is one of Montenegro's most important trading partners. In 2015, overall foreign trade exchange amounted to EUR 668.2 million. In 2016, overall foreign trade exchange amounted to EUR 709.8 million (Serbian exports amounted to EUR 651.5 million, while imports amounted to EUR 58.3 million). Between January and March 2017, exchange amounted to EUR 149.8 million (Serbian exports EUR 138.9 million, imports EUR 10.9 million).
