Visits

At the invitation of the Ministry of Education of R. Korea, delegation of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, headed by Minister M. Sarcevic, was on a visit to R. Korea between 5 and 11 November 2017, when a Memorandum of Cooperation between the two Ministries was signed.
Political Director of the MFA Z. Vujic, in his capacity as Special Envoy of the Serbian President, was on a visit to Seoul from 3 to 5 November 2017.
Mayor of Belgrade Sinisa Mali paid a visit to R. Korea in late August 2017 and signed with Mayor of Seoul Park Won-soon a Memorandum of Understanding on friendly cooperation between Belgrade and Seoul.

Vice Foreign Minister of the Republic of Korea Cho Hyun visited R. Serbia between 3 and 5 December 2017, when he had separate meetings with President of RS A. Vucic, Prime Minister of RS A. Brnabic, FDPM and MFA of RS I. Dacic, MFA State Secretary N. Stevanovic and MFA Political Director Z. Vujic.
Director-General of the Cultural Affairs Bureau at the MFA of R. Korea Lee Eun-yong visited Belgrade in April 2017, when the first meeting between the two countries to deal with the fields of culture, education, youth and sport was held. In April 2017, Deputy Minister for Civil Aviation at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, Suh Hoon-taik, had talks in Belgrade with DPM and Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Z. Mihajlovic and MFA State Secretary N. Stevanovic.
Director General for European Affairs at the MFA of R. Korea, Lim Soo-suk, visited Belgrade in January 2016.
The Parliamentary Friendship Group from R. Korea visited Serbia on 14-16 December 2014 and had meetings with then Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic, Speaker of the National Assembly Maja Gojkovic, President of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly and members of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with the Republic of Korea.

Economic relations:

In 2017, trade in goods amounting to EUR 143,3 million was recorded, of which exports from the RS amounted to EUR 7,3 million, and imports from R. Korea to EUR 136,0 million.

In 2016, the value of trade between R. Serbia and R. Korea amounted to €124.7 million (exports from RS were €4.8 million while imports from R. Korea to RS were €119.9 million). In 2016, 7,660 tourists from R. Korea visited Serbia.

YURA Company, a maker of car parts, took over "Zastava electro" from Raca in 2010, which was the first Korean investment in Serbia. In 2011 and 2012, YURA opened three new car cable fitting factories in Nis and Leskovac.

The Korean Importers Association (KOIMA) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with SIEPA and organized the importer delegation's visits to Serbia in 2012 and 2013. In December 2015, the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency KOTRA opened a representative office in Belgrade and signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Economy of R. Serbia.
