  • former Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond visited Belgrade on 15 January and 8 October 2015
  • former Foreign Secretary William Hague paid working visits to Serbia in August 2010,October 2012 and May 2013
  • President of R. Serbia Tomislav Nikolic visited London during the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in July 2012.
  • Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic visited London from inOctober 2014. He opened an investment conference “Serbia – Investment Day”, met with Philip Hammond, UK State Secretary for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs andWilliam Hague, leader of the House of Commons of the British Parliament.
  • At that time PM and MI I. Dacic opened first investment conference “Serbia –Investment Day” in London in October 2013.

Economic relations:

The value of trade in 2016 amounted to EUR 354 million, of which import amounting to EUR 143 million and export to EUR 211 million. The value of trade in 2015 amounted to EUR 377 million, of which import amounting to EUR 200 million and export to EUR 177 million. The largest British investment was made in 2003 in the tobacco industry, when Duvanska industrija Vranje was sold to the British American Tobacco.

British-Serbian Chamber of Commerce was established in February 2009, based inLondonwith an office inBelgradeand the Serbian-British Business Club was established inBelgradein April 2011.
