Political relations:

• First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic was on an official visit to Canada, from 12-15 November 2016.
• The current Foreign Minister of Canada, Stéphane Dion led the Canadian delegation to the OSCE Ministerial Council Meeting in Belgrade, December 2015.
• Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada John Baird visited the Republic of Serbia in the period from August 29 to September 1, 2014.
• Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia Goran Svilanovic visited Ottawa in May 2002.
• Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada John Manley visited Belgrade in May 2001.

Economic relations:

In the first nine months of 2016, total trade in goods amounted to EUR 30.8 million, with exports amounting to EUR 16.4 million and imports to EUR 14.4 million. According to the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia, the total value of trade between R. Serbia and Canada in 2015 amounted to EUR 42.2 million. The largest Canadian investment is related to the agreement signed by representatives of Canadian company "SNC Lavalin", Mining and Smelting Combine Bor and the Government of the Republic of Serbia in June 2010. In September 2014, the Canadian – Serbian Business Association (CANSEE) was established in Belgrade.

Bilateral agreements
