Political relations:

Aside from meeting in the margins of international gatherings, the last of which was the meeting of Foreign Ministers of the two country during the 27th session of the Executive Council of the African Union, on 11 June 2015 in Johannesburg, there have been no exchanges of visits lately.

The Republic of Botswana does not recognize Kosovo's unilateral declaration of independence, and it voted against so-called "Kosovo's" admission into the UNESCO at the 38th UNESCO's General Conference.

On the occasion of the Serbian Statehood Day, on 15 February 2016, President of the Republic of Serbia T. Nikolic conferred on President of the Republic of Botswana Ian Khama the Order of the Republic of Serbia on a Sash.

Apart from the meetings held on the sidelines of international gatherings, of which the latest was the meeting of the two countries' Foreign Ministers at the Executive Council of the African Union in January 2012 in Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), there has been no exchange of visits lately.

Economic relations:

In 2015, Serbian exports amounted to EUR 1,569,000, and imports stood at EUR 4,000.
In 2012, Serbian exports amounted to € 250 000, and imports to 2 000.
