Consular consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic were held in Bratislava, on 14 June 2018. The delegation of the Republic of Serbia was headed by Ambassador Aca Jovanovic, Acting Assistant Minister for Consular Affairs, while the delegation of the Slovak Republic was led by Ambassador Martin Bezak, Director of the Consular Affairs Sector.

During the consultations, views were exchanged on consular cooperation between the two countries, migrant workers and employment of nationals of the Republic of Serbia in the Slovak Republic, modernization of consular services, and the possibilities were discussed for improving the contractual and legal basis in the consular field.

The consultations were meaningful, held in the spirit of friendly relations, noting the readiness of both sides to further enhance consular cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and the Slovak Republic.
