Both sides assessed that the state of bilateral relations was good, that there were no major open questions and the contractual legal framework in the consular field has been completed. The two Ministries will continue to cooperate closely in aligning their internal regulations in the consular field with the EU Acquis, and on mutual consular representation particularly regarding consular protection and issuance of visas and modernization of consular activities. It was noted that diplomatic and consular missions of both countries have good and meaningful cooperation with the competent authorities in the receiving state.
