Vasington 1942017A group of ten students attending the sixth, seventh and eighth grade of Saint Sava Elementary School from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, visited, together with their parents, the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Washington D.C.

Saint Sava Elementary is a parochial school from Milwaukee, situated next to a church bearing the same name, with more than a century of tradition. The school organizes classes for pre-school to eighth-grade pupils, and is the first elementary school in the United States, with more than 95 enrolled schoolchildren.

The guests were received by Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Washington D.C. Djerdj Matkovic, who received a monograph, published in 2012, on the occasion of marking the centenary since the establishment of Saint Sava Elementary School.
