A 2015 film by director Stevan Filipovic "Next to Me" opened the Week of European Film, co-organized for the eighth year in a row by the European Commission Representation and European Parliament Information Office in Finland.

The screening was held in the venue of the European Commission and the guests were welcomed and addressed by the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Finland, H.E. Mr. Sasa Obradovic.

On the occasion, the Ambassador expressed his gratitude to the organizers, underlining the importance being attached to Serbia, as an EU candidate country, solely by giving it an opportunity to present its art and culture in the context of European values, part of which it had always been. Ambassador Obradovic acquainted the attendees with the topic of the film, the unique poetics of director Stevan Filipovic and his uncompromising criticism of social reality.
