On 17 March 2016, the newly-appointed Ambassador of the Republicof Serbiato Argentina, Jela Bacovic, presented her original Letters to Argentinian President Mauricio Macri.

In the cordial conversation with the President of Argentina, which followed the presentation of the Letters, they both ascertained the high level of political relations between the two countries and a pronounced interest in promoting cooperation in the area of industry. Ambassador Jela Bacovic conveyed to President Mauricio Macri an official invitation to visit theRepublic ofSerbia, which was extended by Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic during his visit toBuenos Aires, on 10 December 2015.
