Ministry of Foreign AffairsThe Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia expresses its gratitude to all the governments and foreign and international institutions which have provided their help, and continue to do so, to assist Serbia in overcoming the consequences of the natural disaster that it suffered in May. We highly appreciate the understanding and worldwide support we have received following the devastating floods that have left massive damage in their wake.

Great many countries have lent Serbia a helping hand while the disaster was still unfolding, by sending not only financial resources, but also by deploying their experts and delivering equipment to Serbia, which proved invaluable in rescuing people and their property. Moreover, effective regional cooperation has proven to be an exceptional way of overcoming the challenges we faced. The Republic of Serbia will endeavour to contribute to the future development of cooperation with the neighbours, confident that it ensures better living conditions for all Serbian citizens.

The Donors' Conference, aimed at alleviating the flood damage in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, convened by the European Commission in Brussels on 16 July, in cooperation with the Governments of the French Republic and the Republic of Slovenia, has reaffirmed the importance of cooperation. At a daylong Conference, Serbia has been pledged significant financial support in the form of donations and very favourable loans (Download the table).

Along with the appreciation conveyed to the participants of the Conference, the Republic of Serbia wishes once again to thank all the other countries that have provided flood relief through their donations in the period before and after the Conference.
