The Serbian Piano Music Spring Festival took place in mid-April, in Cairo.

The Egyptian audience warmly welcomed both performances of the Serbian pianist Hrvoje Ivic, who gave concerts at the "Sayed Darwish Theatre" Opera House, on 14 April, in Alexandria, and at the "Gomhouria Theatre" Opera House, on 16 April, in Cairo.

The Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Cairo organized concerts in cooperation with the Opera Houses from Cairo and Alexandria. On the occasion, Ambassador Dragan Bisenic hosted a reception at his residence, attended by Egyptian high-ranking officials, members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of the intellectual, political, business, media and art circles, as well as the representatives of the Serbian community in Cairo.
