jezikThe European Day of Languages was observed in Salzburg, on 26 September 2013, by an intercultural children's puppet show and performances by children of different nationalities, organized by the city Bureau of Integration.

A performance was held in which the child choir of the Cultural-sport Community of Serbs in Salzburg took part, together with the children from "Behar" sing and dance group of the Bosnian Cultural Center, the National Association of Nigerians in Austria and the local folk group from the small town of Strasswalchen.

The "Let's Read Together" Programme of the city Bureau of Integration, within which the European Day of Languages was observed, is aimed at promoting the existing ethnic, as well as linguistic diversity in Salzburg. The Programme is primarily focused on children under the age of 14, parents, grandparents and pedagogues to the effect of raising their awareness of the importance of multilingualism.
