On the premises of the Consulate General, a news conference was held on the occasion of the regular International Flower Festival at Bela Crkva (24-30 June), that has been organized, with some interruptions, for 150 years. The conference was attended by representatives of Timisoara media (TVR 1 – RTV Regional Centre Timisoara, TV Europa Nova, TV 89, Radio Banat Link, daily newspapers "Adevarul", "Renasterea Banateana", on-line dailies Ti on, Tim Polis, Pentru Timisoara and Timisoara Express; weeklies "Evenimentul Zilei", "Nasa Rec, "Offensive Press") and representatives of the organizer of the International Flower Festival. The attendants were addressed by President of Bela Crkva Municipality Stanko Petrovic, President of the City Assembly Nenad Zivanovic, Lujza Licko from the Bela Crkva Tourist Organization and Ilija Blanusa, Director of the Cultural Centre, who spoke about the programme and significance of the event which is one of the most famous events of this kind in Serbia. The presentation was also attended by President of the Association of Serbs of Romania, Ognjan Krstic.

Addressing the attending guests, the Consul General underlined that this traditional cultural and tourist event at Bela Crkva was only one in a series of events to which he was very pleased and happy to invite the fans of the Flower Festival on both sides of the border, and that the event was truly in the function of strengthening the friendly and cultural relations, spiritual enrichment, tradition and identity of the brotherly people living in these areas.
