Ivica Dacic and Marta GrandeFirst Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia Ivica Dacic received today President of the Foreign and European Affairs Committee of the Italian Parliament's Chamber of Deputies Marta Grande, who is visiting Belgrade on 29-30 November.

Minister Dacic pointed out that the two countries had maintained an intensified cooperation at the level of a strategic partnership and thanked Italy for supporting Serbia's European path. He added that Italy was the first EU market for Serbian exports and the second for its imports, whereas Italian investments in Serbia had encouraged the overall economic development, including bilateral relations between our two countries.

The Serbian Foreign Minister also pointed out that all necessary conditions were ripe to hold in the period to come the fourth Joint Government meeting between Serbia and Italy, scheduled to take place in Serbia.

Marta Grande thanked for the warm welcome, saying that she had a number of substantive meetings on this visit to Belgrade, especially singling out her meeting with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic. She recalled that the cooperation between the two Parliaments was good and intensive. Also, she emphasized that the stability of the region of the Western Balkans was very important to Italy and that she appreciated the efforts Serbia had been making to resolve all issues burdening the relations in the region through dialogue. She reminded that Belgrade was chosen for the first visit of the Foreign and European Affairs Committee in the new Italian Parliament since the formation of the incumbent Italian Government, which spoke of the importance that Italy attached to the relations and political dialogue with Serbia.
