Dragomir Karic as Belarus Honorary Consul

BelarusMinister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivan Mrkic presented, on 3 December 2013, the original copy of the exequatur to the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Belarus in the Republic of Serbia, Dragomir Karic. The inauguration ceremony was attended by President of the Republic of Serbia T. Nikolic, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of R. Belarus Yelena Kupchina, Ambassador of R. Belarus in Serbia V. Chushev, MPs, church dignitaries, and representatives of the diplomatic corps.

Minister Mrkic particularly underlined that the opening of the third Honorary Consulate of R. Belarus in R. Serbia, in 2013, after the ones in Novi Sad and Kragujevac, testifies once again to the strengthening of the traditionally good and friendly relations between R. Serbia and R. Belarus.

Jurisdiction of the Honorary Consul will include the territory of the City of Belgrade, as well as the administrative districts of Macva, Kolubara, Podunavlje and Branicevo. The activity of the Honorary Consul will facilitate the further development of the old and assist in the establishment of new ties between individuals, organizations and institutions concerned, in all areas of cooperation.

MFA I. Mrkic expressed his conviction that the opening and operation of the Consulate would directly contribute to the promotion of the overall political, economic and cultural relations.
