Bilateral consultations on security policy with the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, London 15-18 October 2013

udovickiAssistant Foreign Minister Miomir Udovicki met at the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office with Ms. Sarah Mackintosh, Director for Defence and International Security, Mr. Owen Jenkins, Director for the Western Balkans and EU Enlargement and Ms. Lindy Cameron, Head of the Stabilization Unit which monitors and organizes UK participation in multinational operations.

The talks were held in the framework of the joint inter-departmental meeting of the Ministries of Defence and Foreign Affairs of the two countries with the participation of Serbian Assistant Defence Minister Miroslav Jovanovic. The delegation of the MFA and MoD was received by Dr. Andrew Murrison, Minister for International Security Strategy of the UK Ministry of Defence. The British side was led by Mr. Steve McCarthy, Director of International Security Policy (DISP) at the UK Ministry of Defence.

The issues related to security policy and military cooperation were discussed, as well as foreign policy priorities of RS: EU integration, preservation of territorial integrity and sovereignty and regional cooperation.
