The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia has addressed a Note of Protest to the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Belgrade following the burning of the Republic of Serbia's national flag during today's event marking the military and police operation "Storm" in the town of Knin.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs considers this act of vandalism an unworthy and uncivilised gesture, deserving the strongest condemnation and requiring the perpetrators to be punished.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expects from the judicial authorities of the Republic of Croatia to undertake all necessary legal measures to identify and bring the perpetrators to justice.
