Serbia and Russia boost their cultural cooperation

glebova1311015First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic met the Head of the Russian Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad, and International Humanitarian Cooperation, Ms. LyubovGlebova.

Minister Dacic congratulated his guest on the appointment to this important office, and voiced his hope that their joint work would contribute to the development of the overall cultural cooperation between the two countries. Furthermore, Minister Dacic conveyed his gratitude for the engagement of the previous Head of Rossotrudnichestvo, Mr. Konstantin Kosacev, who now chairs the Russian Parliament's Foreign AffairsCommittee.

The importance of completing the construction of Saint Sava's Church for the Serbian people was highlighted in the meeting, as well as the significant role that the Russian side had in the project of internal ornamentation of the Church. It was jointly assessed that it was necessary to resume the activities on the interior wall-painting of the Church.
