First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic met today, on the sidelines of the 27thOrdinary Session of the African Union Executive Council, with Deputy Chairperson of the African Union Commission Erastus Mwencha.

The talks highlighted mutual desire to improve cooperation, both with the African Union and with its member States. The economic area was singled out as having possibilities for the promotion of cooperation. Readiness was expressed for signing the Memorandum of Understanding on Economic Cooperation between the Government of Serbia and the African Union Commission, on 27 June, during the visit to Serbia by the Chairperson of the AU Commission, NkosazanaDlamini-Zuma. 
The talks also dealt with mutual support on the international level and challenges faced in safeguarding peace and security.
