First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dačić talked today with Ambassador of the Republic of Finland Pekka Orpana.

Ambassador Orpana conveyed to Minister Dačić an official invitation from the Foreign Minister of Finland, to visit his country.

Ambassador Orpana also invited the Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs to participate in the Seminar on "OSCE – Development of the Security Community", to be held on 9 October, in Helsinki. Seminar organizers are the Finnish Committee on European Security and its Institute of International Relations. In addition to the participation of Minister Dačić, the other participants invited by the organizers include: a representative of the Swiss OSCE Chairmanship-in-Office and a representative of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly.

The visit to Helsinki will offer Minister Dačić an opportunity for conducting bilateral talks with his Finnish colleague Tuomioja on the further enhancement of political and economic cooperation between the two countries.
