Sofia: Embassy participates in the event "European Heritage Days"

altThe Embassy of Serbia in Sofia participated in the event "European Heritage Days" traditionally held in the capital of Bulgaria, in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, City of Sofia, Embassy of France and the French Cultural Institute. The event taking place every third weekend in September in more than 50 European states is set to present to the wider public the buildings and objects of special cultural and historical significance including some Embassies and residences. The Embassy of Serbia was open to public on 20 September from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. enabling 200 visitors to tour the premises and learn more about their background.
 
In addition to the building of the Embassy of Serbia which is high on the list of construction and architectural accomplishments of special importance to Sofia's cultural heritage and wealth, additional 35 institutions of cultural/historical significance participated in the event, including the residence of the French Ambassador, Goethe Institute, Library of the Bulgarian Academy of Science, Sofia National Opera and Ballet, several museums and library of the University of Sofia "St. Clemens of Ohrid", French Cultural Center, Banya Bashi Mosque, Military Academy "Georgi Rakovski", Catholic cathedral of St. Joseph", National Theater "Ivan Vazov", Sofia synagogue, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria, British Council in Bulgaria, etc.
