dacic manco_ditmanFirst Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic received today the Ambassadors of the Italian Republic and the Federal Republic of Germany, Giuseppe Manzo and Axel Dittmann.

The Ambassadors handed to Minister Dacic a letter of invitation by the German and Italian Foreign Ministers Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Paolo Gentiloni, for participation in the Seventh Annual Conference of Ministers of South-East Europe Foreign Ministers, to be held on 24 November 2015 in Berlin, co-hosted by the Aspen Institute Germany and this year's partner country, Italy.

The Conference aims to enable senior officials from SEE, EU and US to consider issues related to the refugee crisis, regional reconciliation, modernization and economic prosperity and to determine the ways of establishing closer regional cooperation on further intensification of integration into European and Euro-Atlantic structures. The Serbian Foreign Minister accepted the invitation and announced that he would attend the Conference.

Issues addressed in the talks included Serbia's European integration process, migratory trends and preparations for the OSCE Ministerial Council. Expectation was expressed that the Second Intergovernmental Conference, where the first negotiating chapters are to be opened, is due for mid-December. It was assessed that Serbia had so far been a credible partner of the European Union when it comes to the migration crisis.

Minister Dacic informed the Ambassadors that the preparations for the OSCE Ministerial Council were in the final stages, and that 57 participating States, Mediterranean and Asian Partners for Cooperation, as well as numerous international organizations, were expected to be represented.
