New Offices of the Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia Opened in Vukovar

Serbian Assistant Foreign Minister Dragan Momcilovic and Ambassador Davor Vidis of the Croatian Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs officially opened the new offices of the Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia in Vukovar, on 14 February.

Ambassador Momcilovic pointed out in his address that, apart from protecting the rights and interests of their citizens, the Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia in Vukovar, and the Consulate General of the Republic of Croatia in Subotica, simultaneously represent the bridges for the enhancement of economic, cultural, and other forms of cooperation among the peoples in the region.

The National Day of the Republic of Serbia was also marked on the occasion. The event was attended by prominent representatives of Croatian regional and city administration, members of the Croatian Parliament, dignitaries of the Serbian Orthodox Church, representatives of the Serbian community in Vukovar, and a large number of residents.
